NATIONAL REPORTS
 
National Reports are a reply from countries to an international survey launched at the initiative of a Strategic Theme Coordinator. For the Durban Congress, three Strategic Direction Sessions have called for National Reports:

ST5 - ACCESS TO MOBILITY: A BASIC SOCIAL SERVICE

National Reports were welcome on the following subjects:

  • service quality indicators to evaluate the level of response to users demands,
  • technology and organisation of maintenance operations and repair works in order to provide the best service to users.

  • What active forces are involved and what are the means for implementing a “road and sustainable development” policy?
  • How are road project study teams formed?

  • innovations in technological transfers,
  • economic appraisals in project evaluation, the benefits and disbenefits,
  • human and social psychology approach to road engineering concept,
  • evaluation method for prioritisation of road investment.
